To serve is Love and sharing Love through simple acts of kindness is Sadhana's passion.
Sadhana has been involved in various non profit organisations in Maryland for the past 20 years, both in her organisational and fund raising efforts. Owing a small business and years in the banking industry has helped Sadhana understand and relate to peoples needs.Witnessing the growing necessity for food among the needy she wanted to do her part to alleviate hunger through Annapurna.
Her interests include Music, Books and travel.
Sandhya Sundaram
Treasurer
Sandhya Sundaram is very passionate about finding solutions, be it math problems or community hunger challenges. Her involvement in Annapurna since it’s inception has provided her with just the opportunity to collaborate with like minded team members in making a difference for a common cause- tackling hunger in the community. Sandhya is a middle school math teacher in MCPS. During her free time she enjoys reading, singing both classical music and light music, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
Kani Maadhavan
Director
From a very young age Kani has been imparted that a well nourished body is the first step towards physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being and being an active part of Annapurna team is close to Kani's heart as its core mission is to get nutritious food to hungry people in need.
She works as a web systems analyst for National Park Service. She is a fun loving person and enjoys her time gardening, hiking and travelling with family and friends.
Savithri Raju

Savithri Raju has been involved with Annapurna since its beginning. She is passionate about the power of teamwork for social impact. Being part of the Annapurna team has given her so many opportunities to give back. With a background in Horticulture, Savithri enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors.

Raji Annamalai
Director
Raji Annamalai is a Programmer Analyst at Uninformed Services University’s Library. While she enjoys her work at her current job of serving the technical needs of the Medical University, she finds immense happiness volunteering with her friends at Annapurna. She has always been passionate about cooking healthy vegetarian meals for her family and friends, and when an opportunity came to cook and feed the needy with wholesome food, she seized it. Raji is energetic, cheerful person who enjoys travelling and spending time with people.
